What to include

These four lines usually turn a two-day thread into one reply:

  • Your macOS version (Apple menu → About This Mac)
  • Which Mac — Apple Silicon or Intel
  • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
  • The device involved, if it is about one specific device

I paid, and shortcuts are still locked

Open Settings in AudioSwitch Pro and press Restore Purchase. That asks the App Store to re-confirm the unlock, which is also what you need on a second Mac. Make sure the Mac is signed in to the same Apple Account that bought it — a purchase belongs to the account, not to the machine. If it still will not unlock, email us and say which Apple Account made the purchase; we can check whether Apple recorded it.

A shortcut stopped working

Almost always another app claimed the same key combination — macOS gives it to whoever registered first, silently. Try a different combination with more modifiers held together. Combinations that macOS itself reserves (Mission Control, Spotlight, screenshots) cannot be taken over.

A device does not appear

Bluetooth headphones only appear once macOS has paired them at least once. If a device is listed but greyed, it is known but not currently connected — clicking it asks macOS to reconnect. Virtual devices from tools like Loopback are hidden by default; turn them on in Settings.

Refunds

Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too — we cannot issue one ourselves. Use reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account that bought it. If Apple declines and you think that is wrong, email us and we will help you make the case.

Feature requests

Welcome, and genuinely read. Tell us the problem you are trying to solve rather than the feature you have in mind — it often turns out there is a simpler answer already in the app.
